Vizio 65" Quantum 4K QLED — $328 and It Slaps

My Roku TV died in the living room last week. I wasn't heartbroken — it was time. But I wasn't expecting to find a 65-inch QLED replacement sitting on Walmart.com for $328. I ordered it anyway. Three and a half hours later it was in my carport.

Let me set the scene: I've got a 55-inch Samsung OLED in my bedroom that I paid a lot more for and have been very smug about. The Vizio showed up, I set it up in the living room, and now I'm not sure which one looks better. That's not something I expected to type.

First thing I watched was Sunday football. Colors were punchy, motion was smooth, and the picture was bright enough to look great even with the afternoon sun coming through the blinds. QLED panels handle brightness well and this one is no exception.

Then I threw on Ready Player One — it's on HBO right now and if you haven't seen it, fix that — and the visuals on this screen are genuinely stunning. The virtual world sequences pop in a way that makes you feel like you're watching it in a theater.

I also ran some PS5 time on it. Games look incredible. The screen size alone makes a difference, but the color accuracy and contrast on this panel make everything feel more immersive. At 65 inches you're not just playing a game, you're in it.

At $328 — I paid $350 and change with tax — this is a genuinely ridiculous value. You'd expect to pay twice this for a TV that performs at this level. If your living room TV is aging out or you've been waiting for a reason to upgrade, this is it.

Dad's Setup Notes
  • Walmart delivery was shockingly fast — ordered in the morning, in my carport by afternoon. Free delivery too.
  • QLED handles bright rooms better than OLED. If your living room gets sunlight, this is the right panel type.
  • PS5 and Xbox Series X both look fantastic on it. Game Mode reduces input lag noticeably.
  • Ready Player One on HBO is basically a free demo reel for this TV. Queue it up first.
  • 65 inches sounds huge until it's on your wall. Then it sounds exactly right.
Dad's Verdict
Living Room Approved

For $328 you're getting a 65-inch 4K QLED that holds its own against TVs costing twice as much. Football, movies, gaming — it handles all of it. This is the kind of deal you tell your dad friends about.
